Non-Human Subjects Research Review Request
Revised Policy Date
There are many activities that do not require IRB review. However, oftentimes funders, journals, or academic committees still want evidence that an IRB has been consulted. This form can be used to request a determination that a project is Not Human Subjects Research.
- In some cases, the OPRS staff reviewer may request additional information or a new study application be submitted. This does not necessarily mean the project is human subject research, but more information is needed to make that determination.
- Additionally, if the OPRS staff reviewer determines the project does represent human subject research, a new study application will be required.
