NIH Data Management and Sharing Policy
Description
NIH expects data sharing to be maximized, so it wants to see researchers share as much data as possible. A Data Management and Sharing Plan (“Plan”) is a short document that must accompany your budget justification.
This plan impacts human subjects research in that your IRB application must describe all data sharing plans and any consent documents must describe data sharing. It is important that you review this policy and utilize the University's guidance as you create and submit your plan and IRB application.
